The Process
Interior design is a fluid, non-linear process. Here is a general overview of the various steps involved. Please note individual projects may vary depending on their scope.
Initial Consultation
Our first step is to meet with you to ask questions and find out about your design/build/remodel and space needs. We will also take the time to introduce ourselves and let you know how our expertise can best serve you.
Agreement
Then, the basic parameters of your project, your budget, the general timing and our design fee will be agreed upon.
Site Investigation
This step involves a more detailed discussion of the space being designed, built and/or remodeled. We will assess your current space and discuss what changes and additions are being considered. At this point, initial measurements will be made and colors and materials will be discussed. We will also conduct informal interviews with those who will be using the space to enable us to help create an environment that best suit your needs.
Preliminary Presentation
Based on the information we gather, we will present our concept and include photos, floor plans and fabric, paint and flooring samples, as well as other materials we recommend.
Final Presentation
We will present a master plan, which will include a budget proposal (where appropriate) and enough specifics to solicit bids, if needed, from contractors.
Implementation
Once the plan is approved, furnishings and materials will be ordered and all painting, construction and other work will be scheduled. We will oversee the entire process to ensure that the work is of the highest quality and that you are thrilled with the end result.
